Great product, well made and I could easily ramp my Bmw 750GS onto the truck.

I decided to purchase another ReadyRamp after owning the first generation ReadyRamp 10+ years ago (it’s still holding up well). The only weak points being the straps and rubber tongs but I consider these wear item (they offer replacement straps).
I have loaded everything from dirt bikes to ADV bikes and this ramp has handled it well. Plus because it folds, it makes storing even easier and in times where I’m unloading where I feel the ramp may be stolen, the folding ability allows me to stick it inside my truck.
Well made and highly recommend.

Will update this review after a bit more use – one thing I’ll say is the easiest way to install the bolts was to use a ratchet that had a torx bit in it. Then the self tapping bolts work great.
I then removed them in phases to add some blue threadlock. Worked flawlessly.
First time using the ramp was great, likewise for the bed extender – in the GMC canyon everything fit perfectly.

A ratchet is easy, and an electric drill or impact driver is even easier. Soon all of our Ramps will be 100% pre-assembled, so this won’t be necessary.

Let’s start this review by saying I absolutely love this ramp. I’ll start at the beginning with unboxing and assembly. The ramp was packaged well and arrived in tact without damage. All parts were wrapped nicely and everything was accounted for. Others have commented on how difficult assembly was, but it honestly wasn’t that bad. If you don’t own a drill, then yes, assembly is going to be very unpleasant for you. But I for one would like to think anybody considering this purchase probably owns a drill or at very least can get access to one. You will however need the proper sized torx bit to use in the drill. The screws are sized for a T25 torx bit. All that they include for assembly is a little T25 hex wrench, not an actual bit that would work in a drill. I definitely feel they should include a T25 torx bit to go along with this hex wrench, but oh well. That being said, you’ll need to provide one if you want to assemble it with a drill.
Onto the color/finish. I know it’s personal opinion, but I chose silver because almost every loading ramp is silver and almost all bed extenders I’ve seen are typically silver as well. I figured the silver would be more “normal” looking for me. My other concern for the black version is that it may show scratches more easily and in my experience most black anodized products turn purple-ish over time.
Now let’s get into some reviewing. As a ramp it is the most amazing ramp I have used to date. It is extremely beefy and you can really feel and see the quality of this ramp. It is wider than your average ramp which makes loading and unloading very nice. Definitely wider than most of the skinny folding ramps most people use. The folding action is smooth, but firm (That’s a good thing.) I love the way it folds because it makes storage easy and gives you more options with where you can put it. For example it fits inside the truck where I can lock it up and not worry about theft. Very convenient. As a bed extender, I am very happy as well. I don’t have any previous experience with bed extenders so my review is purely on this one with no comparisons being made to other units. I love using this ramp as a bed extender. I frequently have 2 dirt bikes in my truck when going riding and I bought this to enhance my experience with loading things up. It did not disappoint. Prior to this purchase, I would use bungee cords to hold things in place and always have one or two bungee cords at the end of my truck bed acting as a final barrier to keep things in check. This ramp/extender has eliminated the need for any of that. After loading things up, I just fold the ramp, set in on the tail gate, then strap it in place with the included straps. I was a little on the fence about the straps they include, but after using it in action I am very pleased. I leave the straps attached to the ramp and simply tighten them when in use, and loosen them slightly to remove the extender and use it for a ramp. When tightened in place, the extender is very sturdy and doesn’t move a bit. Works like a champ and looks good doing it.
This ramp/extender is a little on the pricey side, but ReadyRamp deserves it for putting out such a nice, quality unit. You get what you pay for, and I feel this unit was well worth the cost. I would definitely recommend this to other people.
And one last note I’d like to throw in… I paired this ramp with RevArc’s Smart Steps. Look them up! The combination of the two has made loading and unloading a breeze. Highly recommended!!

Great product but assembly is kind of a pain with the self tapping screws.
Cord Bauer –
Agreed! All new ReadyRamps include new Torx bits for use with drills to make assembly quicker and easier. Use the bit to get close, and then hand tighten.
Cord Bauer –
Matt, we’ll be tapping the rungs in our kits which will make assembly much easier. Until then, if you have current stock use an M6 – 1.0 tap on the rungs to speed up assembly.
